Sharing My Journey
My professional journey began at age 20, shortly after relocating with my family to the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. Early exposure to Corporate America gave me the rare opportunity to interact with a diverse clientele—ranging from bank executives and physicians to law enforcement officials and community members from underserved backgrounds. These formative experiences sharpened my administrative, interpersonal, and client-facing skills, laying the foundation for my future in legal support services.
Driven by a passion for technical knowledge and problem-solving, I later moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where I studied Telecommunications Electronics at Western Iowa Tech Community College. There, I earned the FCC 1st Class Radio License—an achievement earned by fewer than 9% of women nationwide. This accomplishment launched my early professional career in specialized communication sectors, including radio frequency and satellite services, where precision and compliance were paramount.
My transition into the legal field began upon returning to Georgia, where I served as a Detention Specialist in Cobb County. In this role, I collaborated with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and later advanced into Detention Sentencing Administration. These roles deepened my understanding of judicial procedures, case flow management, and interagency collaboration—skills that continue to inform my legal practice today.
After relocating to Colorado, I entered the real estate industry and became a top-producing associate broker before qualifying as an Independent Broker. I obtained licenses in multiple states, including Alabama, and worked abroad in Rwanda and Abu Dhabi. This period strengthened my contract analysis, regulatory compliance, and client negotiation abilities—skills that naturally align with the transactional side of legal practice.
I currently hold a Certified Real Estate Paralegal credential and an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies from SouthWestern Florida State College, in an American Bar Association-approved program, lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) National Paralegal Honor Society. My formal legal training is supported by years of experience in executive administration, document preparation, and case support.
Most recently, I completed a paralegal internship with the 24th District Attorney General’s Office of Tennessee, worked in legal office administration with Attorney William T. Looney, and freelancing with Case Management documentation for Underserve women. These experiences allowed me to contribute to trial preparation, manage legal correspondence, draft pleadings, and interface with clients and court staff.
Beyond the legal field, my work in humanitarian service and community missions has taken me across the U.S. and internationally. I have helped hurricane victims, supported students with educational resources, and facilitated land acquisition for school development in Rwanda—demonstrating a lifelong commitment to justice, equity, and service.
Though my path has been diverse, it has always been driven by a core mission: to advocate, support, and bring integrity to every assignment. What began as a high school dream to become a lawyer has evolved into a fulfilling career in the legal profession, where I now serve proudly as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant.
