Sharing My Journey

My professional journey began at the age of 20, shortly after my family and I relocated to the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. Unlike many of my peers, I was introduced to Corporate America at an early age, where I engaged with a wide-ranging clientele, including bank presidents, law enforcement officials, business owners, physicians, and even gang members. This unique exposure provided me with invaluable insight into diverse communities and sharpened my interpersonal and administrative skills.

Driven by a strong desire to expand my technical knowledge, my family later moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where I pursued studies in Telecommunications Electronics at Western Iowa Tech Community College. There, I earned the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 1st Class Radio License, an accomplishment achieved by only 9% of women in the United States. This certification enabled me to work in specialized fields such as radio frequency and K-band uplink satellite services.

My commitment to serving others eventually led me back to Georgia, where I began my legal career as a detention specialist in Cobb County. In this role, I worked alongside local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and later transitioned into detention sentencing administration. These positions deepened my understanding of the legal system and ignited my passion for justice and advocacy.

As our family expanded, we relocated to Colorado, where I entered the real estate industry. I quickly rose to become a top-producing associate broker. After meeting the Colorado Division of Real Estate's two-year supervision requirement, I became an Independent Broker. I later expanded my credentials to practice in both Colorado and Alabama and worked internationally as a real estate agent in Rwanda and Abu Dhabi.

Currently, I hold an American Bar Association-approved Certified Real Estate Paralegal credential as well as an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from SouthWestern Florida State College. My legal training is enriched by my extensive experience in professional executive administration and real estate, forming a well-rounded foundation for my work as a legal professional.

Beyond my professional roles, I remain committed to humanitarian service, traveling locally and internationally on mission assignments. These efforts have included providing relief for hurricane victims, supporting international students with school supplies and tuition, and securing land for school development projects in Rwanda.

My journey has come full circle. As a junior in high school, when asked what career I envisioned for myself, I answered without hesitation: “Lawyer.” Today, after completing an internship with the 24th District of the State of Tennessee Attorney General’s Office and working in legal office administration at William T. Looney, Attorney at Law, I am proudly fulfilling that early ambition through my work as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant. Though my path has not been linear, it has been purposeful, and every step has brought me closer to my calling in helping others and passion in the legal Profession.
